I just got done with an Encaustic workshop. It was great to just be the student and create. I've spent lots of time this weekend thinking about all of you and how we can get re-inspired and fired up about the concentrations again. I think I have a plan. Remember that Judy Wise will be coming March 10th to work with us for two weeks, which is really 5 class periods. Be thinking about how you can incorporate your concentration ideas with this medium. Collage elements work well, your own drawings, photos anything really. Encaustic is a great medium and there is no reason why you all shouldn't be able to create an image during the time she will be with us.
The first one is just exploring the media with texture. The second one was painting. I think I want to have some crow feet coming in the top left corner. We only had an hour to paint so I'm looking forward to playing some more. Fun stuff!

i like the first one most.
i think ill do cadaver cove onto one.. maybe it can replace it in my concentration, because it's the least successful of the ones i've done... and seems most fitting.
oh and i like crows.... they're better than pigeons
i'm kindofexcitedd
i am indifferent to the crows, but nervous about this, how will it fit in my concentration without standing out and blending in? i am excited to get in touch with that collage side of me though!
