Here's what I learned today... When you have an Artist After Hours, have the artist talk for 30 minutes and then 'do' something with the students for the other 30 minutes. I talked with one student who liked listening for the hour, well actually 45 minutes. What do you think? Would you prefer to 'do' something or just listen and learn? I am genuniely interested in your feedback.
NFAA News!!!! I found out today that you only have to REGISTER by October 1st. We can

continue to turn in artwork until November 5th. Whew!!! So, if you are interested in all in this program register now and then we can find sometime after the 1st to get your artwork uploaded. This is one of the images Danielle is going to enter into NFAA. Her portfolio is awesome. You can do this. Let's show all those East Coast magnet art programs that we've got it going on in Oregon!
Finally, THE RETREAT IS THIS WEEKEND!!!! Don't forget to find a quote from an artist for the induction ceremony.
Anytime you want to learn how to upload images to your blog, come and see me. There are several of your classmates who have already gone blog crazy. It's fun.

I liked seeing his works of art, but I was half falling asleep til he did the paint mix. That was cool. I wish I could do something myself, or see him do something instead of just hear him talk for most of the time. I like it when you see them do what it is that they do with their art. Examples of the process... basically.
I really wish i could have been there. I was planning on going but I was unable to attend today :(
bad news: we lost to LO in water polo tonight
i would have liked to have been there too. i guess ill register tomorrow. someone remind me.
1. wasn't there but i prefer to work rather than just listen
2. yay for the retreat
I think that having us do something for half of the time is a good idea. I loved seeing his work and hearing him talk about it but it would be good to be able to experiment a little?
for NFAA, do we register for slides or digital?
Shelby - I would do it digitally. It's quicker and cheaper. We can talk this week. Ms. McB
